Pattern Recognition

Mood Exhibit thumbnail
Mood Exhibit Such a gorgeous lush album of robust melodic electronics mixed with some organic instruments. I have followed Ryan Teague ever since his earlier cello work, and this collection displays a masterful blend of analog type sounds and flowing rhythms that are beautifully rendered in melodic and upbeat fashion. It’s like an electronic Post Classical/ New Age music that is ahead if it’s time. Such great sounds and feeling to this. Contender for my album of the year! Favorite track: Sharp Relief.

about

In the words of the composer:
'Pattern Recognition is perhaps my most ambitious album to date and is the culmination of all my previous work and musical interests incorporated. It is the album that best reflects my artistic intentions and ambitions.

The compositions also embody a renewed sense of energy both musically and personally. The musical themes are bold, dramatic and stirring, incorporating rich analogue synth arrangements with classical fragments and loops, alongside electronic beats and polyrhythms. I also revelled in immersive sound design and high-fidelity throughout the creative and technical process.

Whilst clearly an electronic album first and foremost, the results are always orientated around structured compositions which were composed primarily at the piano, hints and traces of which remain throughout.'
